Who we are
Bitewing Studio, based in California, makes websites and Instagram content for dental practices. Contact us at hello@bitewingstudio.com or (310) 570-2922.
What we collect
- When you email or call us: your name, email, phone number, practice name and anything you choose to tell us.
- When you book a call: our booking page is run by Google Calendar. It collects your name, email, phone number and practice name so we can call you at the time you choose. Google's privacy policy covers what Google collects there.
- When you pay: Stripe processes your payment and gives us your name, email, billing details and the type and last four digits of your card or bank account, never the full number. Stripe's privacy policy covers what Stripe collects.
- When you visit: our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
- Sample designs: our sample practice designs, including the previews on our homepage and Designs page, load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when you view them.
- On your device: if you switch between light and dark mode, your browser stores that choice. It stays on your device and isn't sent to us.
What we don't do
We use no analytics, no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels, and we don't track you across other websites. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Do Not Track
We don't track visitors over time or across websites, so we treat every visitor the same whether or not their browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
How we use it
To answer you, prepare quotes, deliver and bill our services, keep the records the law requires, and protect our site.
Who we share it with
Companies that help us run the business: Cloudflare for hosting, Google for email, phone and booking, Stripe for payments, and our accountant and lawyers. We also share information when the law requires it.
Patient information
This site isn't for patient information. Please don't send us any.
How long we keep it
Client and payment records: 7 years. Enquiries that don't become clients: 2 years.
Your choices
Email us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, except records we must keep by law.
Changes
We post changes here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we also say so on our homepage.
